It’s Gone Now

2023 is in the books by now. It was a good year for me and I hope it was for you.

This year I got the chance to ride my new Harley Davidson Road Glide to the 100th anniversary of the Laconia Motorcycle rally. I also took a ride to Orlando, Florida for the annual convention of the National Speakers Association and then in August rode to Sturgis, South Dakota for that rally.

But there was plenty of work to keep me busy. From murder cases to DUI cases to traffic tickets, I traveled around the State of Missouri representing my clients in a lot of different counties.

Missouri Courts

Missouri Courts are organized into what are called “Circuits.” For instance, St. Charles County is the 11th Judicial Circuit. But the 12th Circuit is made up of Warren, Montgomery and Audrain Counties. One Circuit Judge covers all of those counties while some circuits have over 20 judges in one Circuit.

Each county has its own elected prosecuting attorney. There are some counties, like St. Louis County, St. Charles County and a few others that have a large number of assistant prosecutors. Then there are some counties that only have one prosecutor.

Missouri Prosecutors

All of that means different local practices that I have to deal with in each county. Each prosecutor will have a different set of rules. And that doesn’t even take into consideration the hundreds of municipal courts throughout the State. There are really too many to count. Each city has the right to have their own court, judge and prosecutor.

Criminal Defense

I have been handling criminal cases in State, Federal and Municipal Courts for quite a few years. I represent people charged with the most serious of crimes to minor offenses. I do it because I love it. I take the responsibility of representing people in court very seriously. It is an honor and privilege.

If you ever need an attorney, give me a call. I’ll be glad to help you. I am a DUI attorney, DWI Attorney (basically the same thing), Criminal Defense Attorney and Traffic Law Attorney.
